2nd coordination meeting for the 5th World Water Forum

On February 7th and 8th 2008, the 2nd coordination meeting for the 5th World Water Forum « Bridging divides for water » (Istanbul 2009) took place in Istanbul. More than 200 participants from the different regions of the world, representatives of the international, regional and national institutions, of the private sector and of associations, of the academic world, of financial institutions, met together to define the priority themes and questions that will be discussed during this forthcoming forum. Plan Bleu notably contributed to the works on the theme « Global changes and risk management » and presented, jointly with its regional partners in the field of water, the « Mediterranean Initiative » which will be developed in the framework of the World Water Forum’s geographical sessions.
