Third experts meeting of project “Profile of sustainability
in some Mediterranean tourist destinations”

The third experts meeting of Plan Bleu’s project “Profile of sustainability in some Mediterranean tourist destinations” has been held in Marseilles on 15 and 16 of June.

The main results of the case studies carried out in Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, Egypt, Turkey, Croatia, Italy, and Spain, have been presented: the experts have highlighted practices and lessons learned in order to polish the proposed policy measures.

The meeting also aimed to debate the conclusions and recommendations of the final reports “Synthesis of the Profiles of sustainability” and "Regional Framework for the promotion of the Mediterranean”.

This meeting was finally a preparatory step for the regional workshop “Tourism and Sustainable Development in the Mediterranean” which will take place in the second half of 2011.
