For'UM

On May 27th, Plan Bleu took part in the For’UM organized in Marseilles by the Franco-Egyptian co-presidency of the Union for the Mediterranean (UfM). This meeting’s aim was to present to the stakeholders of private and financial sectors the progress of the Union for the Mediterranean since its launch in July 2008, thus mobilizing them in favor of concrete projects.

There was about 600 participants to this meeting that were informed in plenary session on the progresses but also the difficulties for implementing UfM, as well as initiatives taken by financial organizations to support projects. During parallel workshops dedicated to sectors on water, energy, transport and urban development, and capacity building, specific projects were presented to development partners for financing. Plan Bleu was more particularly associated to the For’UM workshops on “water” and “transport and urban development”.
