Growth in the collaboration with AFD (French Development Agency)

On the 7 & 8 of January, 2008, a delegation of the AFD came to Plan Bleu in view of carrying out an exchange and work session. It was composed of Jean- Pierre Barbier, Head of the Mediterranean and Middle-East Department, Aude Delescluse, Turkey Regional Councillor and in charge of relationships with Plan Bleu within the aforementioned department and Denis Loyer, Deputy Director  of the Technical and Operational Department.
During a plenary session, Jean-Pierre Barbier presented the actions that AFD carries out in the Mediterranean region. After this session, there has been an exchange between the AFD delegation and the Strategic Unit, then with the Thematic Unit and finally with the person in charge of Plan Bleu Support Unit.
The working sessions have been extended till Tuesday 8th with more in-depth discussions on the themes of common interest (climate change, energy, sustainable rural development…). These topics should feed the partnership that is currently being built between AFD and Plan Bleu.
