5th meeting of the International Task Force on Sustainable Tourism Development

Elisabeth Coudert, for the Blue Plan, participated in the 5th meeting of the International Task Force on Sustainable Tourism Development  held in Marrakech, 19-22 April 2009. Participants approved policy recommendations resulting from the ITF-STD works since it was established in 2006 within Marrakech Processus framework. They debated about transforming the ITF-SDT into a UN partnership on sustainable tourism.

Regional meeting organized by IPEMed

On April, 21st 2009, Luc Dassonville participated to a regional meeting in Paris, organized by the IPEMed (Institut de Prospective Economique du Monde Méditerranéen). This meeting, with the support of the national prospective practices’ and regional thematic studies’ presentation, gathered the organizations more likely to collaborate to a shared prospective practice from which a “Mediterranean 2030” report could emerge by 2010.

Foundation for the Mediterranean Meeting

Henri-Luc Thibault participated in the First Foundation for the Mediterranean Meeting, that was held in Monaco, on April 15th-16th, 2009. Publication of Mediterra 2009, a Blue Plan/CIHEAM partnership

Mediterra 2009 entitled “Rethinking rural development in the Mediterranean” is the result of the Blue Plan and CIHEAM cooperation.
