Agreement between Blue Plan and OME

Blue Plan and EIB signed a financing agreement

On the 10th of July 2009, Blue Plan and the European Investment Bank signed a financing agreement, that covers a period up to two years and whose total amount rises to 850 000 €. This agreement is materializing the continuation of EIB’s commitment with Blue Plan. This grant’s allotted elements concern the “tourism” and “energy” chapters of the Blue Plan’s activities programme.

Euromed’s cities network meeting

Pierre Icard represented Blue Plan during the Euromed’s cities network meeting which took place in Nice on the 9th and 10th of July 2009. During the plenary opening session, he made a presentation on the sustainable development issues in the Mediterranean.

Trends and perspectives of urban mobility for the Great Cairo

MAP Focal Points meeting

Henri-Luc Thibault participated in the MAP Focal Points meeting that took place in Athens from 7th to 10th of July 2009. On this occasion, the activities managed by the various components of the MAP for the period 2008-2009 were examined and the main elements of MAP's Strategic Programme for the next 5 years were discussed. The activity programmes of the various components of the MAP for the period 2010-2011 will be analyzed more deeply at the future meeting, which will take place in Cairo on September 2009.
