Mission on "Marine Ecosystems"

On the 14th and 15th May, Anaï Mangos led a mission in the Netherlands in order to present the Blue Plan’s working program on the economic value of marine ecosystems in the Mediterranean to various experts in the environment’s economic approach. The different meetings, especially with Dr. P. Van Beukering - Institute for Environmental Studies, Vije University of Amsterdam – Drs. H-P. Weikard and R. Groenveld – Environmental Economics and Natural Resources Group, Wageningen University – and Dr. D. De Groot – Environmental System Analysis Group, Wageningen University - contributed to scientifically and technically enlighten specific issues of Blue Plan’s working program, such as the composition and assessment of the different economic values of ecosystem, interactions between marine ecosystem and fisheries, socioeconomic impacts of marine protected areas being taken into account.
