MedEmip Experts’Group/Steering Committee meeting

On 4-5 May 2009 in Brussels (Belgium), El Habib El Andaloussi participated at the MedEmip Experts’ Group/Steering Committee meeting, attached to the Euro-Med Energy forum. During this meeting, important energy related issues that are of common interest between EU and Mediterranean Partner Countries (MPCs) were discussed : initiatives launched by MED-EMIP, regional projects such as the Mediterranean Solar Plan (MSP), cross-border interconnections in the Mediterranean region and development of EE and RE technologies.

The event was an opportunity for more than seventy experts from all Mediterranean countries, representatives of the Energy Ministries, representatives of international associations active in the energy in the region, officials’ international banking institutions, experts and external consultants, to discuss projects and initiatives for the Mediterranean region, but also to introduce new topics.
