7th MEDREG General Assembly

Mr El Habib El Andaloussi attended the 7th MEDREG General Assembly, which took place in Cairo, Egypt, on 9 June 2009. The meeting was kindly hosted by EGYPTERA, the Egyptian Electric Utility & Consumer Protection Regulatory Agency.

Mr El Andaloussi contributed with a presentation on the Plan Bleu’s activities and the possibilities of cooperation with the work of the MEDREG’ Ad Hoc Group on Environment, Renewable Energy Sources and Energy Efficiency.

The event was an opportunity for the Mediterranean Regulators coming from more than twelve Mediterranean countries (Algeria, Cyprus, Croatia, Egypt, Spain, France, Greece, Italy, Jordan, Palestine, Portugal, Malta, Morocco, Slovenia, Turkey), European Commission and representatives of international associations active in the energy in the region, to discuss the work of the different MedReg’ Ad-hoc group and the future program for the next two years. The next Assembly will be held in Cyprus in November 2009.
