Meeting between World Bank, ADEME and Plan Bleu

On 27th June, on the initiative of the World Bank, a work meeting was held in Plan Bleu’s premises to present the works in progress and those planned by the three institutions in terms of energy in the Mediterranean.

On that occasion, Plan Bleu presented the first results of a study that has just been finalized and dealing with “energy and climate change in the Mediterranean”. As per the World Bank, a presentation concerning the state of its works on the energy efficiency in the MENA region (Middle East and North Africa) was made.

The exchanges showed a great convergence of analyses, mainly about the priority to be granted to energy efficiency so as to mitigate the increase in primary energy demand within the next years. They also highlighted the interest in a closer collaboration between Plan Bleu and World Bank concerning modeling works, mainly macroeconomic ones.
