Klimades, Conference on climate & housing in Mediterranean countries

On 4th & 5th of February 2010, in Montpellier, El Habib El Andaloussi attended Conference on climate and housing in Mediterranean countries, organized by the Local Energy Agency (ALE) of Montpellier.

The presentation of the Plan Bleu’s activities and recent publications, in terms of energy and climate change, has introduced the discussions on the linkages between energy, climate change and housing. He also presented the 2009-2011 energy program focusing on the underway energy-construction studies.

These meetings were an opportunity for hundreds of participants, representatives of different regional energy agencies in France and some Mediterranean countries: Algeria, Croatia, Spain, and local decision-makers, urban planners, architects, construction engineers and researchers to discuss and to share experiences on projects and realizations across various countries.

The next "Klimades 2" will be held in Dubrovnik on 15-17 June 2011 organized by the Croatian energy agency (www.imeko-mi2011.org ).
