Coordination meeting of PEGASO Project
From 2nd to 3rd of March 2010, Blue Plan took part in Venice in the first coordination meeting of the PEGASO Project gathering the project manager and the work packages’ leaders.
The discussion focused on the presentation of various tasks and deliverables, as well as on partnership dynamics and interactions between the project partners. The meeting also focused on the composition of the End-users Committee and the Scientific Advisory Panel, as well as on the organization of the kick-off meeting of the project (12-14 April 2010, Venice). In a friendly atmosphere, the communication between the Steering committee members allowed anticipating the functioning of this working group, which augurs promising results over the next four years.
The Blue Plan participates in the European project PEGASO (People for Ecosystem Based Governance in Assessing Sustainable Development of Ocean and Coast), for four years: 1st February 2010 - 31 March 2014.
Focusing on ecosystem approaches and on integrated coastal area management in the Mediterranean and Black Sea, this research project -coordinated by the Autonomous University of Barcelona- is funded by the European Union within FP7- ENV.2009.2.2.1.4 funds (Instrument: Collaborative Project - Large-scale integrating project, FP7).
The Blue Plan is involved both on methods and tools, as well as in the implementation of case studies (CASES : Collaborative Application Sites). The Blue Plan is also part of the Steering Committee through its role of "Participatory Coordinator".
