Two-day event about PEGASO project
On 08-09 December 2011, Antoine Lafitte, ICZM programme officer, attended to a two-day event about PEGASO project in Paris held by UNESCO-IOC. 16 participants attended this meeting.
These two days were dedicated on the relationship between "work packages’ project" 3 (Spatial Data Infrastructure), 4 (integrated toolbox), 5 (collaborative application sites) and 6 (capacity building plan) and reflections on next steps. Blue Plan attended to this meeting to co-present the work done so far in terms of indicators and to provide it expertise to conduct others 'work packages'.
Blue Plan’s presentation was mainly based on the adaptation of the "Imagine" method to the needs of PEGASO. The idea is to combine two tools of the "toolbox": indicators and participatory approaches. In addition to discussing the relevance of the indicators set, Blue Plan’s intervention has also focused on the need (and difficulties) to define a "band of equilibrium” for each indicator.
Plan Bleu’s expertise on the indicators subject and ideas it proposed have been really appreciated by the partners.
